State of the art
[001] The present invention is based on a connecting device.
[002] From the document DE 103 47 637 A1 a connection device of this kind became known. With this device, a cleaning blade in the flat face construction is jointly joined with a cleaning arm. The cleaning laminate comprises a cleaning ruler with 2 molar rails laterally integrated into longitudinal grooves that serve as a support element and to which a connecting element in the form of a plate claw is attached. The connecting element has a central thread that extends in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning blade, and this thread carries an articulated shaft that extends transversely in relation to the thread. In the articulated axis, on both sides of the longitudinal thread, there are hubs of an adapter integrated in molar tongues. These form laterally flexible parts of the adapter's side walls. The molar tongues, up to a side away from the cleaning ruler, are separated by slits in the side walls.
[003] Next to the side walls, interconnected by a cover wall, the adapter has a front front wall that has a projection on the side walls and the cover wall. This forms an abutment face for a front edge of a connecting member formed into a cleaning arm. A connection profile for a component in the longitudinal direction is also provided on the front wall on both sides of the connection element, a spoiler is mounted.
[004] For the purpose of stiffening the side walls of the adapter, numerous side walls and reinforcement ribs are provided between the side walls. They also serve to guide the adapter to the side in the longitudinal thread of the connecting element.
[005] When assembling, the connecting element will be moved transversely in the longitudinal direction of the adapter in the direction of the cleaning ruler on the adapter until the conducting rails engage the lower longitudinal edges of the side walls of the connecting element in molar tongues with grooves . In the assembled state, the front sides of the conductive rails, facing the free end of the wiper blade, touch the adapter conducting rails that are positioned under the side walls of the connecting elements. In addition, the front edge of the connecting element abutts on the protrusion of the front front wall of the adapter, which, in the region of the adjacent conductive rail, has a recess that fits the front front edge of the connecting element.
[006] On its cover wall, the adapter has a molar tongue with a key that projects outwards. The molar tongue extends in the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade and on the side projected towards the front front wall, it is joined with the cover wall, to the space that in the remaining part is separated from the cover wall by a slot. In the assembled state, the bag penetrates a corresponding opening in the connection element and therefore protects the adapter's mounted position in the longitudinal direction towards the connection element.
[007] The cleaning blade can also be mounted in the longitudinal direction on the cleaning arm, and the connecting element is moved over it from the rear front wall of the adapter until the key fits into the respective opening of the connecting element. In this case, the conducting rails of the connecting element are positioned under the notched hooks of the adapter's lateral molar tongues.
[008] From the document DE 60 2004 010 644 a similar connection device is known, in which the molar tongue is attached to the cover wall of the adapter, on its side facing towards the rear wall. The rear wall itself is reduced to a transversal thread, so that the connection cuts in relation to the side walls are very small. Description of the Invention
[009] According to the invention, the adapter walls facing outwards, that is, the side walls, the cover walls and the front walls, have an overall wall thickness of at least 2 mm. In addition, the cubes are formed as blind holes whose cylindrical faces form radial sliding faces and whose front faces form axial sliding faces that have a high gloss polish with an average arithmetic roughness value of Ra <0.2 p. In addition, the sliding faces are located between the hubs and the articulated shaft, the unique contact faces between the connecting element and the adapter. In this case, the sliding faces act on the front faces of the articulated axis and on the bottom of the blind holes as axial bearings, while the radial sliding faces serve on the cylindrical faces of the hubs and on the circumference of the articulated axis as radial bearings. Due to the special surface quality in the assembly region, friction is obtained at the reduced installation location and precise guidance between the articulated shaft and the hubs. As the contact between the adapter and the connection element is restricted to the mentioned sliding faces, no other friction losses appear in the connection device according to the invention. The rigidity of the adapter, basically reduced by the absence of cross-sectional walls, is compensated by the greater thickness of the walls facing outwards. This, moreover, has the advantage that with sufficient flexibility of the side walls in the regions of the hubs, the connection of the hubs is relatively rigid, so that there is no fear of a loss in the assembly or lateral conduction in the event of a shock or windshield wiper lock. Finally, lateral molar tongues are dispensed with which could easily break in the event of an unskilled assembly.
[0010] For random sizing of the cubes it will be convenient that they are arranged in cubes gloves that protrude towards the inside on the inner sides of the side walls. At the same time, in the region of the hub sleeves, on the outside of the side walls, niches could be provided. Through these niches the desired flexibility in the region of the cubes can be modified, for example, also through reinforcement ribs integrated in the niches and which close the top with the outer side of the side wall bordering the niche. In order not to impair the flexibility of the side walls in the region of the adapter's stiffening ribs, when the adapter is mounted on the connecting element, the connector element has notches in the region of the stiffening ribs, so that the stiffening ribs can deviate laterally without resting on the side walls of the connecting element.
[0011] In order to achieve the most free play possible of the wiper blade in a transverse direction towards the longitudinal direction, it will be convenient that the length of the articulated shaft has a small excess of measure in relation to the distance of the axial sliding faces of the hubs from each other , so that the axial sliding faces, in the assembled state, touch with a prestressing on the front faces of the articulated axis.
[0012] According to another conformation of the invention, the adapter has a longitudinal direction, on both sides of the niches, on the outer sides of the side walls, contact faces, which, in assembled state, lean closely on the inner sides of the side walls of the connecting element. This measure has the advantage that transverse movement of the adapter in the connecting element is avoided. In addition, in connection with the precise assembly and driving by the high quality assembly of the articulated shaft, the possible torsional movement around the longitudinal axis is very restricted.
[0013] According to another conformation of the invention, the molar tongue is connected with the rear front wall and forms a groove with the adapter cover wall, the key on the side of the molar tongue, away from the rear front wall, it protrudes outward beyond the molar tongue and, in an assembled state, transfixes an opening in the cover wall of the connecting element. In this way, it is achieved that the molar tongue is applied with pressure in the direction of the assembly, which is advantageous in relation to the resistance and to an unwanted release. In addition, the critical coupling cross section between the molar tongue and the side walls can be markedly enhanced when the adapter's rear front wall extends from the cover wall to the bottom edge of the side walls. The closed rear front wall also prevents the adapters from locking together during transport. In addition, it is advantageous that the molar tongue, at its end separated from the rear front wall, has at least one projection that abuts, in an assembled state, on the inner side of the cover wall of the connecting element. In this way, an adapter for connecting elements with varying openings can be used without the danger and the key with the molar element protrudes outwards through the opening of the connection element.
[0014] According to another modality of the invention, a proposed foot that at the end of the side walls, facing towards the rear front wall, safety blocks are provided in the cutouts that form the cutout channels for guide rails on the lower edges of the walls sides of the connection elements, the mounting channels widening towards the rear front wall. The mounting channels allow easy insertion of the guide rails. In addition, the safety blocks are dimensioned with such resistance that neither in assembly nor in operation they can be damaged.
[0015] For easier assembly of the connection of a connection device according to the invention, the adapter has a mounting opening on its cover wall, in which a clamp of an assembly tool of an assembly set is inserted in the direction of assembly, being expanded in the direction of the opening, so that the adapter thus maintained can be moved under the articulated axis of the connector element, when the articulated axis is fitted with the hubs.
[0016] In addition, a cleaning blade, a cleaning arm and an adapter must be protected, provided that they are designed and suitable for use in a connection device according to the invention.
[0017] Other advantages result from the following drawing description. The drawing shows examples of carrying out the invention. The design and description contain numerous characteristics in combination. The specialist will also conveniently consider the characteristics individually, bringing them together for other logical combinations.

[0027] A wiper blade 10 in the form of a flattened beam comprises a wiper strip 20 with a wiper lip 22, and two molar rails that serve as support element 24 and which are inserted in lateral longitudinal grooves of the wiper strip 20. In the laterally protruding parts of the cleaning strip 20, these part relative to the support element 24 in the central region, a connecting element 18 is attached in the form of a plate claw and is clamped by means of claws 26. The claws 26 cover the support element 24 on the external longitudinal sides and at its other end are joined with the central thread 28. It projects in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning blade 10 and has an articulated axis 30 protruding on both sides. In longitudinal direction the two sides of the connecting element 18 are followed by spoiler components 32 which form a window 34 for the connecting element 18 between them and which are seated with conductive profiles on the support element 24.
[0028] For the articulated connection of the cleaning blade 10 with a cleaning arm 12, a coupling device is used that involves the coupling element 18, an adapter 16 and a connection element 14, fixedly connected with the cleaning arm 12. The adapter 16 has two side walls 40 which are interconnected by a cover wall 42, a front front wall 36 and a rear front wall 62. These walls 36, 40, 42, 62 have a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm, while , the internal space, surrounded by them is free from cross walls, so that, between the central thread 28 of the coupling element 18 and the adapter 16 there is no direct contact. Due to the wall thickness and the external configuration of the adapter 16, the rigidity of the adapter 16 can be modified to suit the conditions of use.
[0029] The front front wall 36 has a connection profile 38 for the allocated spoiler component 32. In the direction of the cleaning arm 12, the front front wall 36 has a projection 56 in front of the cover wall 42 and the side walls 40, on which, in the assembled state, a front edge 88 of the connecting element 14 abuts. The projections 56 have recesses 58 on their sides within which corresponding convex conformations of the front edge 88 of the connecting element 14 are adjusted. At the edge of the side walls 40, facing towards the wiper strip 20, a short guide rib 53 follows on the projection 56 the top. The guide rib 54 is positioned, in an assembled state below the allocated component of the lower edge of the side wall 80 of the connection element 14. On the free front sides of the guide ribs 54, in mounted state and in the longitudinal direction, guide rails 82 which on the lower edges of the side walls 80 of the connecting element 14 protrude inwards and after the assembly of the side walls 40 of the adapter they are positioned from below.
[0030] By May of hubs 46, the adapter 16 is mounted rotatable on the articulated shaft 30. The hubs 46 are found in hubs of hubs 44 on the inner side of the side walls 40. They have sliding faces 48 radial, which, together with the circumferential faces of the pivot shaft 30, form radial bearings and axial sliding faces 50, which, together with the front faces of the pivot shaft 30, form axial bearings. The sliding faces 48 and 50 are highly polished and have an average arithmetic value of RA roughness <0.2p. In this way, a high degree of precision, great resistance and reduced friction is achieved, so that a precise lateral conduction as well as torsional stability of the wiper blade 10 and, with this, high cleaning quality is ensured.
[0031] In its longitudinal projection, the articulated axis 30 has a reduced excess measure in relation to the distance of the axial sliding faces 50 of the hubs 46 in a reciprocal direction, so that a corresponding prestressing is achieved in the assembled state. From the excess measurement, a first superposition 94, for example, 1 mm, results before assembly, and, after assembly, a second superposition 06, for example, 0.8 mm. In this way, the possible torsional angle α around the longitudinal axis of the cleaning blade 10 between the adapter 16 and the coupling element 18, is very small.
[0032] In the region of the hub sleeves 44, the niches 41 are located on the external side of the side walls 40, within which reinforcement ribs 52 are provided, in line with the allocated side walls 40. They serve to modify the elastic flexibility of the side walls 40 in the regions of the hubs 46. So that the hubs 46 can flex outwards, they are located on the inner sides of the side walls 80 of the connecting element 14 notches 92. In the longitudinal direction in the on both sides of the niches 41, on the outer sides of the side walls 40, contact faces 76 are provided, in which the contact between the adapter 16 and the connecting element 14 takes place. Due to the precise and unequivocal support of the adapter 16 on the connection element 14, the relative lateral movement will be restricted and the torsional angle β between these components will also be minimized.
[0033] In its cover wall 42, the adapter 16 has a molar tongue 64 with a key 66 projected outwards, which, in assembled state, passes through a corresponding opening 86 in the cover wall 84 of the connecting element 14, closing approximately the top with the surface of the covering wall 84. The molar tongue 64 extends in the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade 10, with which it is joined on its side facing towards the rear front wall 62, while, in addition in addition, it is separated by a slot 68 of the cover wall 42. In order that the molar tongue 64 with the key 66, when it is requested, cannot unwind in the direction of disassembly, abandoning the opening 86 of the connection element 14, the molar tongue 64 has on the side away from the rear front wall 62, at least one protrusion 70, which, in an assembled state, abuts against the cover wall 84 of the connection element 14 on the inside.Upon request for release, the key 66 will therefore be kept on the edge of the opening 86. The pressure forces exerted on the molar tongue 64 will, in this case, be supported on the rear front wall 62, which extends to the lower edge of the side walls 40, with the result that the cross-sections of connection 72 are present in a large area presenting great resistance. The closed rear front wall also prevents the adapters from hooking up during transport.
[0034] For the mounting of the cleaning blade 10 on the cleaning arm 12, the mounted adapter 16 will be introduced in the longitudinal direction into the connection element 14, and the guide rails 82 are guided through the lateral mounting channels 110. The assembly channels 110 that extend towards the rear front wall 62, will be formed by side cutouts 78 in the side walls 40 and by safety blocks 60 integrated in the cutouts. Safety blocks 60 prevent a straight-line disassembly movement.
[0035] For automatic mounting of the adapter 16 in the connector element 18, a mounting opening 174 is used in the cover wall 42 of the adapter 16. Through it, a claw 108 of a mounting tool 100 of a set of screws is inserted in the direction of mounting 106 assembly 98. By an opening movement of the claw 108 in the direction of the opening 102, the adapter 16 will be fixed and by an application movement in the mounting direction 106 it will be moved on the articulated axis 30 of the connection element 18. After the assembly carried out , the claw 108 will be moved in the closing direction 104, with which it is separated from the adapter 16, being removed by the mounting opening 74 contrary to the mounting direction 106. For easier assembly the hubs 46 have oblique mounting planes 90 in the edges facing the articulated axis 30.
